On April 22, 1970, twenty million Americans rallied to call for action to save the environment. The result: the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency, the passage of the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act, and more.
Now, 50 years later, we have reason to celebrate successes and reason to worry about even bigger challenges — and even more reason to act!
With Climate Catastrophe staring us in the face, Earth Month is a chance to learn and act. Groups will be holding seminars, presentations, marches, and actions throughout Corvallis and Benton County.

Currently, CCAA is gathering information on planned and potential events for April 2020 in and around Corvallis, to increase awareness and coordination of activities occurring during Earth Month. We will use the information to publicize and promote events and volunteer opportunities to boost participation in sustainable practices. If you (or your organization) are interested in collaborating on Earth Month to accelerate climate, social, and economic justice, please submit completed event form.

Corvallis, OR is located within the homelands of the Pinefu, Chemapho, and Luckiamute Kalapuyan peoples. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to the Grand Ronde Reservation in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
